We were extremely impressed with our vegetable
box, the contents were fresh and plentiful and the presentation
of them was first class. We are enjoying all the contents
you supplied, together with the biscuits and honey and we will very
much use the service again. Just to let you know the meat was superb. Sausages with black pepper
were delicious, good texture, not greasy, nice little kick with
them. Minced beef also very good. Again not fatty and very tasty.
It really tastes of beef! The chicken tasted so much of chicken,
not at all like the meat I get in the supermarket even if I buy
organic. Very impressed and will certainly order more. Looking forward
to the pork joint tomorrow night. I was extremely pleased with my first veg box, there was a good
selection and it all seemed super fresh. Have made some lovely meals
from it already! We had the rib eye steak and pork at the weekend and both were
superb quality and flavour. The beef was very tender and full of
flavour - I just griddled it quite plainly and it was great. The
roast pork actually tasted of pork (sounds obvious, but rarely does!
So I assume it was outdoor reared from a slower growing stock. I
look forward to trying the other pork products like the sausages
and bacon if its all as tasty. We will definitely order it again.
Much better than my previous supplier I think and I really liked
the fact that you asked what we didn't like - my daughter ate the
whole punnet of strawberries at one sitting! We will be ordering
again. Just a quickie to say that the meat was fantastic!! The lamb was
very tender and tasty. Many thanks for the veg. box delivered today. My wife could not
get over how fresh the lettuce and cabbage were and having tasted
the toms guess what, they tasted of tomatoes. Have only eaten the chicken breasts and ham so far – both
lovely. Your quality continues to be excellent and my husband and
I think your presentation is superb. I just had to comment on the veg box we received yesterday.
My 4 year old has never seen fresh peas in the pod before and it
was a great learning experience for her. As soon as the veg arrived
(just as lunch was nearly ready), we sat on the kitchen floor and
shelled enough peas for ourselves and our 1 year old, cooked them
straight away and served them with lunch. They were sweet, fresh
and delicious. Both daughters ate the lot and thoroughly enjoyed
them. The beef went down so well with my little boy that he's asked for
roast every night! The box was fantastic and everything was very fresh and extremely
tasty. The chicken was really delicious (in a slow cooker with tarragon
garlic and white wine) and I’m cooking the beef mince right
now in a chilli. Top marks all round! My little boy (4 years old) loved the peas – he was
snapping them open and eating them out of the box before I could
cook them (and our chickens enjoyed eating the discarded pea pods
afterwards!)… The selection was just right, there was
nothing we wouldn't use and not too much of single items which
has been a problem with other veg boxes I've had in the past! The pork chops were superb. We have been really enjoying the produce you deliver, we are really
noticing the difference in taste of all the produce we receive.

it) we were so pleased and will definitely order again. The sausages were fabulous, such a great flavour. I felt I must write to let you know how delighted I was to receive
my veggie box today – it is fantastic. I have had box schemes
before and always felt a little disappointed not any more. Your
boxes are just what a box scheme should be – everything so
fresh and from local farms which is great. As I bit into my pork steak I thought what is the difference, well
the difference is flavour, it makes a change to actually taste pork
instead of nothing! My husband makes a makes a mean cooked
breakfast and this morning we had rib eye, bacon, egg and tomato
(all Local's Best) with my home made bread and marmalade bought
from a farm shop near where my friend lives in Ireland, such a pleasure
to eat it all. Well done, it looks as if you have chosen equally
well with the meat as you have with the veg. The potatoes had a particularly good flavour and roasted well with
garlic & rosemary. The spring onions were enormous and have
been put to good use in salads, pasta and bread. Not to mention
the marrow - which I wouldn't normally buy -but followed the suggested
recipe and everyone in the family loved it (especially difficult
to please is my 16 year old 'vegetarian' daughter, so can't be bad! The sausages, bacon and ham were first class. We are really enjoying the veg you delivered. Everything tastes
delicious and you can just smell how fresh it all is. It reminded
me of when I was a little girl having dirty potatoes and carrots
with their tops still on. The meat was excellent kept beautifully until I got home…...
The insulated boxes kept it cold and fresh. It tasted wonderfully
so much better than I have been able to get at the supermarket and
it is such a comfort to know where it comes from Just to let you know, my youngest who hates veg normally, loves
it! Many thanks!! Your vegetables are so tasty – its a sheer joy to await the
weekly delivery for the choice of vegetables to be cooked and eaten
during the following week. The cooked ham was delicious. We love the boxes and variety fresh veg, it really makes us make
the effort to cook good fresh food – so much more enjoyable
to eat! We've pickled the beetroot from the last box for Christmas,
can't wait to eat it! Fantastic sausages by the way (all types). I love Fridays cos your veggie box is like Christmas every week,
wondering what's coming! The pork was absolutely delicious, great value for money, and very
well packed. I will definitely order it again when seeking a joint
of pork and hope to venture into some of your other meat products
in future. Box was great this week-so fresh! Even the kids noticed the
potatoes tasted different! My husband absolutely adored the cabbage that was in the veg box
last week, is there any chance he could have another one this week?
Really impressed with the standard of veg that you are delivering. The chicken was lovely, plump and juicy and full of flavour I would
definitely order it again. The pork pies were for my husband and he really liked them.
The pork joint was lovely, really tasty. I would definitely
order both of them again We enjoyed the contents of our box very much. Everything was beautifully
fresh and well packaged. All good so far, lovely cottage pie with the mince and we just
had some of the chicken in a curry which was very nice and tender. I was really impressed with the quality of the vegetables.
The flavour and freshness really made a difference when eating them.
The carrots in particular tasted great, and the long green peppers
were wonderful. Just to let you know the beef stir fry meat was amazing. So tender
and good taste. Pork loin also exceptional. The box was great and we've enjoyed a lot of the veg this week-end.
Looking forward to the next box. We cooked the pork yesterday, absolutely brilliant! it made the
best crackling ever and was beautiful and moist. The veg box was great, quality and quantity excellent. I have tried other deliveries, but I particularly like the fact
that you source very local producers, I think what you are doing
is superb. The vegetable box was great and encouraged me to make lots of different
things. The leeks were great in leek and potato soup and the
beetroot made a great chutney - everything got used and the children's
guinea pigs enjoyed the leaves from the cauliflower and carrots
so no waste at all! As a vegetarian it offered veggies that I could turn into a meal,
rather than as an accompaniment to the ‘meat and 2 veg’.
It was well balanced in content and quantity and the vegetables
tasted good. It gives the lie to my son’s comment that all
veggie boxes are full of potatoes and knobbly things that you don’t
know what to do with! Much enjoyed, and have recommended. Looking
forward to the next one. Superb quality, lovely and fresh and was all very good to eat….will
certainly be sending another order before long. The vegetables were great! We particularly enjoyed the cauliflower
and potatoes as they had REAL flavour. We were impressed with the selection and quantity supplied and
consider it good value for money. Your veg were tasty (best carrots I've had in ages except those
my Dad grows in Glos)….I'm looking forward to the cauliflower
tonight - the sprouting broccoli was great - its my favourite veg,
so I was very happy! I also liked getting rhubarb - a nice surprise! Thank you again for a wonderful veggie box last week. We really
like it very much. Everything was lovely and fresh and not only
very tasty but also colourful and fresh looking. The amount you
sent is plenty. The quality of the produce was excellent. It is good to get a surprise
selection as it encourages us to eat things we may not normally
purchase. The food is tasty, fresh and different to that we buy
from the supermarket. I like to think I’m helping the environment
by not using lots of packaging and having stuff transported. It
also seems a lot more healthy and natural. I am also pleased to
be supporting local farmers. Just wanted to let you know that I was very pleased with the vegetable
box delivered last Friday. The carrots and cabbage were particularly
good - tasted just like the veg we used to eat as a child from our
Uncle's allotment! Really appreciated the rhubarb which is one of
my favourites. I will certainly continue to order from you and have
already recommended to a neighbour that she try one of your boxes. A very quick note to thank you so much for the fab veggie box.
Excellent produce - we have already devoured half of it! We really enjoyed the broad beans, tasty and tender! The sweetness of the carrots is unparalleled even compared to the
local farmshop I go to, and it has been ages since I have had broad
beans- I love them.
